Our Patient Care Technician (PCT) program prepares students for entry-level roles in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and wound care centers. Students gain practical training in patient care procedures, phlebotomy, and EKG while developing the skills needed to succeed in today's healthcare environment.

Course FAQs
Upon successful completion of the Patient Care Technician program, graduates will:
- Function effectively as members of a healthcare team to provide basic patient care.
- Use appropriate medical terminology to communicate with coworkers and ancillary staff.
- Perform duties safely and effectively within their scope of practice, including phlebotomy procedures, EKG-12 leads, home healthcare, orderly services, vital signs, and more.
- Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills in collaboration with team members to promote positive patient outcomes.
- Understand and practice infection control according to CDC, OSHA, and facility guidelines.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication and listening skills when interacting with a diverse patient population.

Monday to Thursday
8:00am to 4:00pm (10-12 weeks )Evening classes

5:30pm to 9:30pm (17-20 weeks)Student must enroll at least 2 weeks before class starts.
The Patient Care Technician program equips students for employment as Patient Care Technicians or Patient Care Assistants in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, laboratories, dialysis centers, and doctor’s offices.
