Course FAQs
- Applicants must be at least 17 years old (Parent must co-sign enrollment agreement)
- Applicant must have valid Government issued identification
- Applicant must have a social security
- Applicant must possess a high school or GED diploma (for programs over 600 clock hours)
- Applicant must pay a Non-refundable registration fee of $100 ($150 for programs over 600 hours)
- Applicant must sign all enrollment documentation
- Applicant must be able to understand the English language
- Applicant must meet with the business office to finalize payment agreement
Zeal Technical Institute reserves the right to reject an applicant on the basis of not meeting the entrance requirements. A letter explaining reasons of reject may be emailed or mailed out to prospect accordingly.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in analytical and quantitative problem-solving.
- Exhibit computer and information literacy.
- Recognize laws and regulations regarding HIPAA and confidentiality in electronic health records.
- Identify basic medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Describe fundamental medical administrative tasks using electronic medical record software.
- Process and perform medical billing and coding.
